If you’ve ever tried to conduct business online, there’s no doubt that the thought of drop-shipping has crossed your mind. And why not? Drop-shipping is by far the easiest way to begin making substantial profits online without having to house any type of merchandise on your end. For the budding entrepreneur or stay at home mom looking to earn a decent living online, this can be a Godsend. However, if you do a search online for drop-shipping, or for that matter “wholesale”, you will yield a litany of useless results instructing you to pay them for a membership to obtain the details you need. Almost every one of these results is some sort of sales pitch as to why you need to purchase their “direct” access to drop-shippers and wholesalers.

If you’re smart, the first question you should ask yourself is, “why do I need to pay them, to sell their products?” If you really sit down and think about it, drop-shippers should NEVER charge you to sell their products. The sad part about trying to find quality and legitimate drop-shippers online is that it’s becoming next to impossible for the “Average Joe” to jump in and earn some money with NO upfront investment. If you are lucky enough to find a reliable drop-shipper, you then realize that your profit is normally between $2 and $10 which almost makes it pointless to begin with. However, all hope is not lost.

The main point to remember when you come across a business claiming to offer you the highly desirable, drop-shipped products that will make you rich on sites such as eBay and Overstock, is that you should NEVER have to pay! Never is a strong word, but remember, you’re helping them by selling their product so why should you have to pay up front? Also, be skeptical of sites that say they have “lists” and “relationships” with the top drop-shipping companies. 99% of the time, they are simply trying to make a dollar off of information that you can freely find by doing extensive research online.
