1. Check for misspellings. Believe it or not, there are a lot of sellers that don’t spell check their item listings, and that includes the item title. If you can find a name brand product with the name spelled wrong, you’re onto something. Chances are, people that are searching for this type of product haven’t found it because of the misspelling. This means a bargain for you.

2. Look for auctions that don’t have pictures. You’d be surprised how many buyers quickly overlook an auction without a picture. Simply ask the seller for a photo. Most are happy to provide you with one.

I, for one, don’t buy and sell this way. I feel that there is too much work involved. The only thing that I’d deal with like this is domains or websites. The reason? No shipping to mess with.

I’d totally recommend a digital product, such as an ebook, website or domain name…just because you have no hassle of shipping. Not to mention, you can make good money with these items. Just take a look at what domains and websites are selling for on ebay.

If you’d like to go in a similar direction, you can purchase websites and sell them on other sites, such as SitePoint. I’ve seen simple websites, similar to some on ebay going for $75, sold on Sitepoint for over $200. If you are a little tech savvy, you might give this a try.

Whatever the case, eBay is a great site to get started with your own home business.
